About the event

Devcon is the Ethereum Foundation developer conference and the most technically rigorous event on the calendar. The eighth edition lands in Mumbai, chosen for the scale of India’s developer ecosystem and its grassroots Ethereum communities. Much of the programming is created and led by the community rather than the organisers, which is why the hallway track matters as much as the stages. Expect protocol research, Layer 2 scaling, cryptography and cross-chain interoperability rather than market commentary. Retail marketing does not land here; developer relations, integration conversations and hackathon presence do. Devcon also anchors a wider cluster of independent events in the same city alongside India Blockchain Week, so budget time either side of the four official days. Attendance skews toward core protocol and infrastructure teams rather than applications, so calibrate expectations accordingly.
