How Cryptic partnered with OKX Wallet to co-create IRL experiences that turned product awareness into real relationships with traders, founders, and ecosystem partners, from NYC to Cannes.
The Challenge
OKX and OKX Wallet already had brand awareness and scale. The challenge wasn't getting the logo seen it was making the brand felt in competitive, conference-heavy markets where every major player sponsors something.
From Hong Kong Web3 Festival to Permissionless IV, major conferences are saturated with generic mixers and panels. OKX needed events that felt like a must-attend experience, not just another sponsor-branded room.
OKX's core business is the exchange, but its long-term strategy is to become a full Web3 entry point via OKX Wallet. Events needed to help traders and builders feel what the wallet unlocks: DeFi, NFTs, onchain trading, incentives, and more.
OKX Wallet's growth depends on deep relationships with trading communities, founders, and ecosystem partners. Events had to be co-created with communities so that partners felt genuine ownership, not "sponsored by" fatigue.
Why Cryptic
Cryptic acted as OKX Wallet's event strategy and production partner across multiple flagship experiences from concept and partner curation to on-site execution and post-event amplification with a focus on quality of connections over raw foot traffic. We don't do generic mixers. Every event was co-created with communities like Alpha Traders, Supermoon, Abstract, OpenLedger, Bubblemaps, and MiL.k so that partners felt genuine ownership, not "sponsored by" fatigue. The result: side events that attendees described as standout experiences, and a brand presence that felt embedded in trader culture rather than buying billboards.

We partnered with OKX Wallet across a series of IRL experiences designed to put the brand in the middle of the conversations that matter trader meetups, side events at major conferences, and culture-forward gatherings with leading Web3 projects.
AlphaHaus: NYC by OKX Wallet & Alpha Traders
A one-night takeover of New York City positioned as "your favourite trading community come to life." We shaped the event narrative around onchain trading culture, coordinated guest lists with Alpha Traders and Supermoon, and designed programming that balanced social networking with structured alpha segments making the wallet a natural part of the conversation. Attendees described it as one of the standout experiences of the Permissionless IV circuit.
Casino Royale Night Cannes
A high-energy evening of style, connection, and high-stakes energy co-sponsored by OKX Wallet, Abstract, OpenLedger, Bubblemaps, and MiL.k. We developed the Casino Royale concept to align with OKX Wallet's positioning, managed venue selection and experiential design, curated a guest list of founders, investors, and creators, and produced a full recap campaign. This event strengthened OKX Wallet's brand in the European Web3 scene.

We ensured events sat inside a broader narrative connecting OKX's exchange, Web3 wallet, and global expansion. We amplified OKX's return to the U.S. via social content, integrated talking points about OKX Wallet's key differentiators MPC-powered recovery, multi-chain support, and X Launch campaigns, into event messaging and follow-up content.
